Cinnamon Toast Crunch Bars

You need just 4 ingredients to make these bars. They are sweet, rich, sticky, and absolutely delicious.

Ingredients

For the bars:

  • 3 tablespoons salted butter
  • 10 ounces mini marshmallows
  • 5 cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal

For the chocolate drizzle:

  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

To make the bars:

  • Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Let some extra parchment paper hang over the two ends of the pan for easy removal later.
  • Melt the butter in a pot over medium heat. Once melted, reduce the heat to low and add the marshmallows. Then spray a mixing spoon with nonstick cooking spray and continuously stir until the marshmallows are fully melted.
  • Remove the pot from the heat and add the cereal. Stir well. Once combined, transfer the mixture into the prepared pan. Cover the top with a sheet of parchment paper and gently press down to form an even layer and then discard the sheet of parchment paper and let cool completely.

To make the chocolate drizzle:

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave at 20-second intervals, stirring in-between until completely melted. Using a large spoon, drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled bar and then let sit until the chocolate has hardened and set.
  • Lift the bar as one piece out of the pan and slice it into individual bars using a sharp knife. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Have fun playing with the ingredients to make them your own. You can use another kind of cereal if you prefer or try different kinds of chocolate chips.
  • Optional add-ins include pretzel pieces, crumbled cookies, and chocolate candies such as M&Ms.
  • 10 ounces of mini marshmallows is equal to 6 cups if you’re measuring them by volume. If you’re using standard-size marshmallows, just weigh out 10 ounces of those and chop them roughly before using them so they melt more easily.
