Churro Cheesecake

With only six ingredients you can make this incredible cheesecake. The crisp dough is carefully flavored with cinnamon and vanilla.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces crescent rolls 2 8-count packages
  • 1 cup granulated sugar divided
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 16 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 13x9-inch baking pan and set it aside.
  • Combine ½ cup sugar with the cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle half of this mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking pan and reserve the remaining half.
  • Beat the cream cheese until smooth in a large mixing bowl and then add in the egg, vanilla, and the remaining ½ cup sugar. Beat until smooth.
  • Flour the countertop and unroll one package of the crescent rolls onto the floured surface. Pinch the pre-cut lines together and use a floured rolling pin to flatten it out into the 13x9-inch shape of your baking pan. Then transfer the dough into the prepared baking pan on top of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Pour and spread the cream cheese mixture over the dough.
  • Unroll the second package of crescent rolls onto the floured surface and again flatten it in order to fit into your pan. Lay on top of the cream cheese filling.
  • Sprinkle the remaining half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture on top of the dough and then bake for about 30 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove from oven and let cool. Cut into individual slices. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you're using unperforated dough (the kind with no precut lines) you don't have to pinch any seams together.
  • Drizzle cream, caramel, or chocolate over the churro cheesecake to add typical stuffed churro flavors.
  • If you're serving these hot from the oven, you should probably serve them with a fork. Otherwise, they can be eaten with the fingers.
