Bisquick Apple Cobbler

This delicious dessert couldn’t be easier to make. It takes just a few minutes to prepare and then your house will smell amazing while it bakes.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups Bisquick baking mix
  • cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup brown sugar packed
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 large Granny Smith apples peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup water boiling

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan and then set it aside.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the Bisquick, white sugar, and milk. Mix until well combined and then pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan. Layer the chopped apples on top.
  • In a small mixing bowl, combine the ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and brown sugar. Mix until well combined and then evenly sprinkle it over the layer of chopped apples.
  • Pour the hot water over the apples without stirring and then bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes.
  • Remove from oven, let cool, and then serve along with a scoop of ice cream. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Choose gluten-free Bisquick if you want to make this recipe gluten-free.
  • If you want to add some extra toppings, consider caramel sauce or chopped mixed nuts.
  • You can swap half the apple for another type of fruit, such as strawberries, blackberries, or pear.
