Stuffed Baked Apples

These baked apples are a healthy twist for a breakfast dessert with the best sweet apples filled to the brim and baked with rolled oats to delight everyone.

  • 4 apples cored
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted or softened
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon


  • Preheat the oven to 350 F. Add apples to a baking pan.
  • In a bowl, combine oats, sugar, and cinnamon, stir well to combine. Add butter and stir well to combine.
  • Stuff each apple with oats mixture and bake for 30 minutes. Enjoy!


  • Choose unsalted butter to keep this recipe healthier by not adding sodium to it.
  • You can also use real maple syrup or your sugar substitute of choice in place of brown sugar, however, the brown sugar adds a bit of a caramelized taste.
  • Have more guests joining you? Simply double the recipe to satisfy everyone!
  • Serve these warm, and if you want to make them more decadent, you can top them with vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream.
