Total Time:45 minutes mins
Servings:12 brownies
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ¼ cup honey
- ½ cup cocoa powder unsweetened
- ½ cup peanut butter
- 2 eggs large
- 2 bananas medium
- ⅛ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- milk as needed to blend
Start by preheating the oven to 350°F.
Take an 8×8-inch square baking pan and lightly grease it with non-stick cooking spray. Line with parchment paper and set aside.
Now add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until well combined and smooth. Add some milk to the mixture if your blender is having trouble with it.
After that, pour the batter into the baking pan and bake for 20 minutes. Check the readiness by inserting a toothpick in the center of the brownies. The dough is ready if it comes out clean.
Let the brownies cool in the pan for 20 – 30 minutes. Serve with tea or coffee and store in an airtight container.
- If you prefer, you can swap the honey for maple syrup or the bananas for applesauce. Either almond or cashew butter or Greek yogurt can be subbed for the peanut butter.
- It’s important to let them cool completely before cutting, or else they will be difficult to cut cleanly.
- Put a slice of bread in the container with these brownies and they will stay soft, as the bread absorbs any moisture.
- Prefer your brownies warm? You can microwave them for 10 to 20 seconds before serving.
