Two bowls of peach cobbler.

Peach Cobbler for Two

A perfect ending to a romantic meal. The juiciness of peaches contrasts with the crumbly topping and hints of cinnamon and orange so well.

Total Time:35 mins
Servings:2 ramekins

  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 ½ cups peaches sliced
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

For the topping:

  • cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 ½ teaspoons unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons milk preferably whole
  • ¼ teaspoon orange zest grated

  • Mix the brown sugar, cornstarch, and water in a small saucepan over medium heat until smooth, and then add the sliced peaches. Bring to a boil and stir for 2 minutes, and then stir in the butter and lemon juice.
  • Mix the flour, white sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon in a bowl until combined. Then stir in the melted butter, milk, and orange zest.
  • Now transfer the peach mixture into a 2 cup baking dish, pour the topping over it, and then bake uncovered at 400°F for about 25 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown on top. Enjoy!

  • This is a perfect romantic after-dinner treat, especially if you add a scoop of top-quality vanilla ice cream.
  • Swap some of the peaches for strawberries or even blackberries to add a different flavor to this tasty recipe.
  • You can either use a pair of 10-inch ramekins to make this dessert or a small baking dish. If you want to double it, use 4 ramekins or a medium baking dish.
